Commentary

Chain the Dogma - http://www.perrybulwer.com - This site reviews the movie, All God's Children, which exposes Christian dogma, such as 'sacrificing' or giving up your children in order to do God's work. This dogma is directly responsible for many of the systemic abuses committed in the name of Christ.
Sakoieta - Mahawk Elder - The book is really good. I have really enjoyed reading it. Many parts brought me to tears at the things "christians" inflict on people in the name of Christ. Sending you many good thoughts of peace, love, and friendship.
Ann B – Commenting on review by Richard Zane Smith – Hi Vivian, I am so glad that Richard wrote to you ... and all the follow up. It paints a vivid picture of the reality of the abuse of MKs and others. After reading Richard’s questions, I went to the MK Safety Net website and reread Steve Prichard’s review of the book dealing with “why good people do bad things” (Lucifer Effect). His review of the book responds to me with answers to the heartfelt questions that Richard is asking. Yes, it is an academic analysis but also helpful to the inquiring person I am as I continue to ask the question – why?
Ken B. - Thanks to you also. May your efforts be Blessed by the Creator. It's time to save our kids from us, and to save ourselves from the demands of "Religion"
Debbie B. - Your book looks wonderful and I can't wait to read it.I would love to correspond with you about your journey. I don't know about you, but I've found writing my book the most healing leg of my journey. My family and I pounded the Methodist Church for five years until they agreed to undertake their own investigation of abuse. In October, their board of directors met and voted in favor of our request that they fund a trip back to the Congo for a group of Methodist survivors and their families. They are also taking tangible steps to correct the broken places in the church that allowed this to happen. I feel very proud of my role in making that happen. I and two other survivors flew to New York this Spring and spoke to the 200 members of the board of directors. It was a powerful experience, right up there with the birth of my first child. The support and love was simply overwhelming.

I am so sorry that you were a victim of the Mamou abuse. I wept when I watched "All God's Children" and my husband told me that he "gets it" for the first time. He hasn't read my book yet, but I plan to share it with him soon. Blessings to you for spreading the word.
